Yoga & Breath, Level 1
All levels and ages 8 and older are welcome.
We begin class with a focus on our breath. Pranayama, is the word used to describe yogic breathing exercises. We start class with 2-4 different pranayama techniques, then move into some floor warm ups, standing postures, balancing poses, floor exercises and savasana. We end class with a standing movement called ‘Breath of Joy’.
Stressed out? This class helps to connect one to their breath which helps to calm the nervous system, lower blood pressure, and increase circulation. Do you have asthma or other breathing disorders? This class also helps to increase lung capacity and reverse the effects of breathing problems.
Imagine starting the weekend from a calm and focused space. Most students leave this class feeling well rested, energized and ready to start their day. Your teacher Jenilyn is a very positive and fun energy to practice with, so come join in the fun!
