Lucien Dallagata

Lucien Dallagata has been a student of yoga since 1977. He first learned in Europe with his master, Jean Klein, himself trained in India with Krishnamacharya. While working as a philosophy teacher in France and then, as an employee of the French Government abroad, he managed to deepen his studies of yoga and vedanta with his master. He also taught part-time on a one-on-one basis to friends and relatives.

Then, coming to the US in the nineties, where he became a resident, he took this opportunity to widen his experience by studying with a variety of teachers from different styles and eventually decided to retire from his current job in order to teach yoga and share his love of this awesome science. He completed his studies mid- 2003 at Integrative Yoga Therapy where he achieved a 200 hours level certification, as recognized by the Yoga Alliance. This training combined postures, breath work, body-awareness and deep relaxation for a “whole person” approach to health and healing, focusing on adapting the practice to the needs of the students.

He has been teaching in the Chicago area since 2004, adapting the various traditions he has studied( Integrative, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Viniyoga, etc…) to the needs of his students.
