Christine Krumsee, RYT, Therapeutic Arts Instructor, instantly found a
home in yoga when she began her
practice in 2006. After dealing with chronic health issues for several years, yoga proved to be the missing link in her healing process. Through yoga, she found acceptance of the present moment and the strength and discipline to continue on her healing path. She also found a deeper awareness of the mind/body connection and began to understand how nothing operates in isolation, how everything is connected.
Christine received her 200 hour certification in 2009 and has been teaching ever since. With a focus on mindfulness, her classes offer students a flow in which they can reflect on their own process, whether it be healing a physical ailment or achieving peace of mind. Christine has continued her education through studying Shiatsu, Reiki, Mindfulness Meditation, alignment, massage and more. She also has a wealth of knowledge about food and its healing properties and has lead workshops including “No Gluten? No Dairy? No Sugar? No Problem! – The Art of Living Free From” and “Whole Living – Yoga for Weight Loss.”
Christine also directs the Arts and Crafts program for Veterans at the North Chicago VA where she guides patients through the therapeutic uses of art. She is also privileged to teach Yoga and Meditation to a group of Vietnam and Iraqui Veterans.
Christine is still amazed at the profound way yoga has impacted her life and is very grateful to provide others the space in which they may experience this themselves.
